Smailholm in the Borders

We are very cosy in our Potting Shed accommodation, surrounded by snowdrops. Just going out for a short while in the garden this morning I saw a woodpecker and a nuthatch.
We went over the Black Hill close to Earlston for our training run today, it was great.
The afternoon was spent in Melrose, with a visit to Smailholm Tower on the way back. Its a place we have enjoyed visiting in the past and dates from the 15th century.
