Freshly Showered Crocuses
For the first time after our Covid-19 infection, I visited my mother. I am still glad that I had been careful enough, so I didn’t spread the virus to her and her carers when I saw her two weeks ago.
I arrived in the middle of a sleet shower, and watched it turn into snow and then rain, while we had coffee together. When I left, the sun came out very briefly. The many crocuses in her lawn hadn’t opened their flowers today, as it was so cold. Here’s last year’s blip of them, in full splendour.
