Birds and books

I was trying to take a photo of the Woodpecker on the feeder or in the tree, but it was far too flighty. Never mind there’s always a Blue Tit . . . or six!

I have spent a while today sorting books - all the ones we are getting rid of. Getting them all together and I can’t believe how many there are. There are a lot of academic/text books from our studies and teaching. We must have never got rid of any at all. We also seem to have some that belonged to the daughters. I don’t know why we have them but they don’t want them.

This morning Gordon went to a Freegle event in a local village to take a pile of things. He couldn’t believe how many people there were bringing stuff and already taking away stuff. I was relieved that he didn’t come back with anything!
