I didn't sleep much last night, so I am pleased that I have gone non-stop through the day. G, on the other hand, slept fitfully. :))

She changed her programme for the day and let me use her room to do the ironing. In the middle of it, I had a message from my friend Anusha who was transiting through Abu Dhabi airport, heading back to Colombo. Sadly, despite all our attempts, we could not connect using VoIP.

We both worked on our laptops in the afternoon, and I am so thrilled to finish #176 - my first video for 2023. It ties in perfectly with what is going on at the moment.


We were heading out to dinner to use up a voucher before it expires when I noticed that one of the restrictions was you had to dine between noon and 6. It was 6:15. ARGH! Thankfully, I managed to get it refunded, and we checked out this "new" hotel in nearby Jadaf. I had to look up the meaning of Occidental! We ended up with an all-you-can-eat buffet, but we stayed sensible! :))

I can't believe the branding in this place!
