A year in the country

We went up town today to shop for Lily's birthday while Donald looked after the girls in the pottery (they painted lots of tiles and made lots of snails, which were destroyed in a game, apparently!); but not until our return journey did we realise that it is exactly a year ago since we moved here.
So much has happened; most importantly our little boy was born here, and brings us so much joy. Our girls have started school and nursery here, and are happy and settled. And who would have thought a year ago today, that one year on we would be sitting in our much improved garden, eating barbequed sausages with a salad that Lily grew all by herself.
Life in the country. It was a big move. A risk. But absolutely no regrets.
