Beaver home

I noticed this beaver house quite a while ago but it's taken until today for me to walk over the field to check it out. It was snowy enough I used my snowshoes, which was fun. This is on our long pond and quite a way from the actual dam. This is about 4 feet high. You can also see the alder branches scattered in front. Maybe for late night snacking? The extra just shows some beaver work on nearby alders. I hope the beavers are comfortably tucked up inside.
