Lord Suffield amongst the Blue bells
The Peer being an old variety apple tree with beautiful light pink blossom. Fortunately, the winds and rain have eased allowing the all-too-fleeting flowers time to unfurl and attract all manner of winged buzzing things. I have noticed masses of blossom on my trees this year; I'd like to think skilful pruning is the cause, but the more likely answer lies with mother earth's fluctuating cycles.
The intense blue of the background, Endymion non-scripta, is just about at its strongest, now.
