The Dog and Bench

Another entry for my occasional list of good names for a British pub. Today I offer you The Dog and Bench.
An old adage has it that we're never more than six feet away from a rat. It's probably also true that these days you are now never more than six feet from the nearest dog turd, or an abandoned plastic bag full of turds.

In fact, research at the University of Huddersfield has suggested that you are always within a more acceptable 164 feet of a rat, at least in urban situations.
