Syttende Mai

Joined many other Norwegians and half-Norwegians, or maybe just friends of Norwegians or people who like to walk in numbers with flags for the Norwegian National Day parade. It was a glorious day. Lazed down by the Norway Stone in Princes Street Gardens and had a picnic. Then we went to bro's for traditional Norwegian meal - prawns, with gravadlax and sursild and other delights - also outside. We thought summer had come - although perhaps, optimistically, it was just a trailer of things to come.

It reminded us all of the times we spent in Norway - out in the sun - eating and laughing. And K, you were there too - always there. Miss you every bloody day.
