Making waves

It took until today for Carl to take the plunge and splash around in our swimming pool (one of three in the bungalow complex we’re staying at). I just dangled me feet.

We went up the road to Gold hotel for lunch. This became a favourite haunt of ours on a previous trip, but what was then a glorious forecourt has suffered badly from unfortunate makeovers and re-configuring during Covid. Making up for this, its pool area is delightful, and we spent a wonderful couple of hours there at lunch time (extras).

Our evening meal was in. Barbados restaurant. This has also changed a lot since we were last here, and our experience was rather spoiled by a rowdy table of four Scandinavians. Food was okay, but not as good as it used to be.
