Blue skies !
What a glorious day to be out walking.
We headed over to V&A's in Blair Atholl and headed through the Castle Gardens to Glen Banvie and walked up the cairn on Allt na Moine Baine. If we had kept going we'd have eventually reached the bothy at Allt Sheicheachan but was another 3 miles away.
We retraced our steps and went back to V&A's for lunch. It was really nice to catch up with them both.
T is no watching the rugby - I can tell from the groans it is not going well.
I on the other hand will study some Gaelic, continue with my latest needle felting project (a Robin) and continue with my exploration into the lives of the daughters of the 6th Duke of Atholl and their contemporaries including the teacher whom Lady Evelyn meet on Harris. Following on from last week searches. I discovered she returned to Blair Atholl and taught there and that she died in Pitlochry.
Today's walk took us through St Brides Church and Graveyard where the 6th Duke and his wife are buried along with the eldest daughter.
