If I haven't mentioned it before, I have the most awful difficulty finding footwear that works with my feet. I bought these boots in November 2012 and they have been superb! A great friend to my feet, but eventually the soles split right through and I feared nothing could be done to rescue them.
I hunted for a replacement pair and bought something, but they aren't a patch on these. So I took these along to my local Timpson to see if anything could be done to rescue them. They would need to be sent away and the whole upper removed and put back onto a new chassis and it would cost £90. The new boots had cost £89, but as I said, they aren't a patch on these so I agreed to pay as much for a repair as I had just paid for a new pair. Most people I told thought I was crazy, but most people don't know the pain my feet suffer, so why would they understand. I had been told they would take about two weeks, so when I'd heard nothing after three I became anxious. I returned to Timpson's to ask what was happening and the staff member on duty at that time couldn't work out where they were in the system. I left it another couple of weeks and returned to ask again. This time I was met by the staff member who had originally taken my order and who understood the system a little better. He told me that there had been a backlog at the workshop and some of the trickier jobs had been delayed, but he would chase them up and get back to me. And hurrah! Here they are six weeks on absolutely as good as new and my feet are back in Heaven again.
Thank you Timpson's!
