New to me
Kath and I spent another three hours in the recycle shop today. It was so good to see it looking so much more inviting for people, for them to have a bit more space for browsing and to actually see what is in there! The gloves were brought in by a skiing friend on Saturday, along with a lovely orange fleece neck warmer come snood. Kath took the gloves as she was working in there last Saturday. She can't wear anything around her neck so left the snood. When we met up today she said the gloves were too tight. Her loss was my gain, they are super comfy, warm and flexible. I had forgotten about the snood but I'll pop into the shop later in the week to see if it's still available......such treasure!
My phone call to mum found her a bit depressed as she's finding it really difficult to have the energy to get outside her flat. I'm hoping it's just the pain she's been through, all the painkillers and lack of eating, which is what I tried to tell her. She is keen to get up and go, her brain is willing, her body not so. I think I need to try and find her some sort of energy boosting drinks designed for this sort of thing affecting the elderly. Any recommendations will be gratefully received, it was a minefield searching online!
Grateful:
For a warm house to return to after that very chilly shop!
For a comfy sofa at the end of the day
For people recycling their 'no longer loved' items
