Pitlochry

The morning started with a walk over to the hotel for breakfast. We then drove over to Pitlochry. A longish walk eventually took us over the dam from where this picture was taken.

On the right, though it does not show very well, is the salmon ladder to enable the salmon to make their way past the dam. I remember I was brought here as a child to see the salmon climbing the ladder.

After our return to Meikleour we walked back over to the hotel for dinner. It is about a 10 to 15 minute walk across the estate from the stables where we are staying to the hotel. We made sure Cosmo had her dinner first, so she was relaxed while we had ours.

Many steps today, and even more steps for Cosmo on little legs. She was very sleepy when we got back to our cottage. Some birthday cake and a selection of cheeses back at the cottage after dinner.
