Poblat talaiòtic de Talatí de Dalt.
Torrential rain this morning just after I'd done a wash, and forecast for the week much the same. However, the sun came out so I risked hanging it out, and it did actually dry before more clouds rolled in. 98% humidity first thing this morning - craziness! While the rain held off we were going to go for a walk by the harbour in Mahon, but taking a wrong turn ended up at a stone-age village instead, visited many times before but always worth another look, especially in Spring when the dry dusty brown enclosure in Summer is awash with vegetation and life. The place has a special feeling of spirituality and deep peace, and I could spend hours there just soaking that up, especially when there are no other (live) humans around. The original inhabitants have long since surrendered their bones, artifacts and vessels to the museum. The main picture is of the taula with its leaning pilaster, and the extras show the talaiot behind the ancient (but still alive) olive tree, and through the frame of the taula and pilaster. Many more pictures of course of this fascinating place.
