Water Under the Bridge....

..that's where the action is now! Since this last cold front, the waters in the marsh have frozen over again...except for some very popular spots! 

Being a Sunday, there was a lot of people action too! At my favourite beach section of the conservation area, there was not a parking spot to be found..which was too bad as I hear the ice formations down there are looking pretty good right now.. I will save them for another day..

Today the fun was had watching all the ducks and geese hanging out..wandering around on the ice or fighting for space in the open water..

I thought the tracks of their wanderings on the ice would make a good backing for my photo of the handsome Mr. Mallard who took a liking to me and followed me up onto the bridge. Alas, I had no food for him so he soon went off to try his charms on someone else.... such are the ways of hungry ducks...
