NNNNNoooooooooooooooooo (part 2) :-(

Liphook and Ripsley played The Bourne U15's this morning.

The boys won the toss and put The Bourne in to bat. The Umpires insisted that we went out to play - even though we were still waiting for two of our players top turn up. But with 9 on the pitch we started brightly, and some inspired bowling from Dan (3-12); Will (3-16) and Teo (2-27) looked to have put us in control as the Bourne looked shaky at 58-7. But they rallied and a couple of dropped catches proved costly as The Bourne reached 125-8 from their 20 overs.

In reply, sonnumbertwo was the first wicket down, and went cheaply chasing a bouncer (as you can see in this photo).

We did pretty well in reply, reaching 91 all out, with Dan getting 29 and Mike making 19, but we let them get 20-30 runs more than they should have in their innings, and ultimately that proved costly.

Great game to watch, and then off to the pub for a Sunday roast washed down with some very nice ale. Happy days :-)
