Inspired by a ‘barley twist’ tree.

Barley twist is a feature first appearing on classic English and French furniture in the seventeenth century. It has remained popular ever since the nineteenth century.
This one is nature’s own example, the result of a union between a young ash tree and a determined honeysuckle plant.
It would make a fine walking stick - but I would far rather enjoy it as it is.
