Surbiton
To Surbiton on the way to Woking this morning and I snapped a picture of the clock tower while changing trains on the platform.
The station opened in 1838 as part of the London and South Western Railway. The original station building still stands today and is a Grade II listed building, meaning it is protected due to its historical significance.
We were on the way to Woking to see PY’s mum and David. A quick detour via Sainsbury’s to buy some flowers and then onwards to their flat where Jo and Phil joined us. We had a lovely fish pie for lunch. It was a relaxed afternoon and we helped hang some pictures for them before heading home by 7pm. It feels like they are getting nicely settled in their new place.
