Line of trees

An overnight stop in the Scottish Borders on the way home. At one end of the village, there is a line ot trees in the middle of a field. I have photographed this before in various conditions, but today was the worst - overcast and very poor light. I was told that the farmer wanted to cut down the trees but fortunately, the locals objected. I like trees. Just beside the viewpoint, there is a bench at the side of the road, with two plant tubs containing heathers and small conifers - see the extra. Clearly someone cares about that bench.
