Our Blipmeet..

..turned into a whale watch. We couldn't have had a better day. There were 5 of us and we headed out to the Beacon at Baltimore where I took this. The sea was so blue, it was warm and sunny. Flowers in abundance and birds everywhere. after a delicious lunch at The Glebe and a fast wander around the gardens there we headed out to the cliff tops in the townland known as Spain. There are ruins and a standing stone there. As we were walking along the cliffs ooh-ing and aah -ing at the birds and flowers the whale surfaced. What a thrill. it surfaced a few times and we were close enough to hear it blow. It was identified as a fin whale.
