Arolla pine in the snow

This area of the Nockberge is famous for its abundance of Zirbe trees (also called Austrian stone pines, Swiss or Arolla pines - or Pinus Cembra).

This morning all the trees have again been transformed. Yesterday they were covered with snow and today they have been heavily encrusted with frost from the thick mist that has hung around all day.
