Striding in Patent Yellow

I grew up in Stranraer and the old Wigtownshire Creamery building (it closed in 1974) was a familiar site. These creamery jars were what they originally sold the cream in from when the Creamery opened in 1888. Pieces of the jars were a common find on the shore below the factory and occasionally you would unearth a whole one! I have always loved hunting them and have a small collection which I still occasionally add to - more usually from an antique shop than from the beach these days though!
