All your eggs in one basket..........

Had such a lazy day today - it was really cold......well cool enough for shoes and socks and a sweater! Wandered round the garden looking for a blip and found this lovely red flower but on the same stem these little seed pods full of what looked like black eggs. I never noticed them in the garden before and have no idea what type of plant this is but creation never ceases to amaze me!
