Civil War trenches - Sierra de la Alfaguara

The trenches from the civil war can still be seen in some mountains near Granada. The frontier between the two bands was held in this area for as long as the war lasted and it is quite common to find them when trekking on the mountains.

These trenches have been restored and they can be visited as a reminder of things that should never happen again.

It had been a very nice walk this morning until we came to these trenches; either the air got chilly all of a sudden and the sky got dark or it was the atmosphere surrounding these trenches what made me shiver and made us leave the area silently and a bit depressed.
