Well, the duckules have laid 3 eggs in the last 24 hours, and all of them were outside the Eglu, so Mum helped lift the run so that I could retrieve the eggs.
They've little capacity for strategy, but it's hard not to project that they've got wise to the Eglu's hatch for easy egg retrieval... We're not totally sure which eggs belong to which duck (they more usually lay overnight when all are in the Eglu), but we are sure that Flügel only contributes chaos, squeaky babble, and springtime rage.
