Very interesting military museum.

SLR started in 1685 - in response to the Monmouth rebellion - one of 12 regiments of foot. Initially known as the Earl of Huntingdon's foot (raised mainly in Bucks). It had several names (carrying the name of its Colonel in Chief) finally becoming the 13th Regiment of Foot in 1751.
