Ending

At 1pm today I went to a goodbye. Didn't get inside the Chapel, too many folk.

Stood outside, in the light rain, hunkered against the wall, listening to the service inside via a speaker. All a bit dystopian, all a bit The Prisoner.

A good send off, a beautiful service.

The curtains closed and off he went to the sounds The Banana Splits TV theme tune.

Smiles all round. Nev was always smiling.
