Troutbeck to Ambleside

We set off from Ambleside over Wansfell to walk to Troutbeck. It was a late start and to be honest after a good few months of not much exercise the walk to the top of Wansfell took a bit longer than usual with several breaks to rest! Still I was glad I persevered as the view from the top was lovely. We were late arriving at our favourite pub in Troutbeck, 'The Mortal Man' and the walk home was in the late afternoon light. The sun broke through the clouds and the light was beautiful - not sure I've really captured it here but I was grateful to see it.
