Paris 1

Today I took my Mum to Paris for her first trip abroad since she was in secondary school! I actually bought her the tickets for her birthday last October, but it's taken this long to get her passport sorted. I've been looking forward to going on a break with her for a long while now. After the awful time we've been struggling through together, it was a welcome treat on the horizon. We got the Eurostar and arrived in Paris about 5, so had time for an evening stroll around the area we're staying (the Latin Quarter), past the Pantheon and to the beautiful Jardin du Luxembourg. We went to the veggie restaurant right near Notre Dame, which has become a bit of a regular; I've been on my last three visits and can't imagine getting tired of their amazing food, and tasty wheat beer!
