Works in progress

On Feb 24th, I posted a photo of a local artist, painting a junction box at the bottom of our road.  It's a local art trail project, and several of these dull, featureless items are gradually being transformed. 
Today's blip shows a little update. The weather has been cold and intermittently wet, so the artist hasn't had many chances to get back to the work. But it's shaping up well. I've noticed people stopping to look closely at the details, and to chat to him when he's there. You have to get close to really appreciate the details, the local references and the touches of humour - it's a bit like part of a comic book or a graphic novel. I really like it.
