… from underneath, on an extensive visit to the Louvre this afternoon.

Our first stop was “Splendors of the oases of Uzbekistan” a small but fascinating exhibit covering 6 centuries of history and dovetailing well with the Samarkande exhibition we saw at the Institute du Monde Arabe (see blip of 2/15).

We then looked at 17th century Dutch art high on the second floor, always a trek from the entrance, but well worthwhile.
