Bleak mid winter?

Driving around today, some areas got hit with a lot more snow than we did at home, but all the roads are bare, and surprisingly dry considering there's a rapid melt goiing on at 8 deg C.
A few business calls, a trip to the quacks for prescription renewal, and some antibiotics to get rid of the last vestiges of this cold. It's only the second time I've seen this doctor since my old one died, but he seems on the ball, sent me for routine blood tests. Done and dusted in 30 minutes.
And now home to ponder on what would be good for dinner.
Any ideas?
All in all, a blah kind of day.
