Good and bad

The day started off well with Leo’s hospital visit. They decided it was healing well so no need for them to go in and do anything. He just needs to rest and strap it up for a few weeks and then if all is good he will be back playing.  He was worried that he would be out for the rest of the season so that is all good.

The not so good is that in the afternoon I took mum for a haircut and to Aldi to get a few bits and pieces.  As we headed back to the car there were people hovering around and they told and showed us that a woman had just bashed into my car and she drove off at speed when they tried to stop her.  I could just see the back of her car flying off in the distance.

Thankfully, they got the licence plate and were happy to share their details so they could act as witnesses - so then I spent the rest of the day faffing around with police reports and insurance calls to try and get things sorted.
All is underway now but what a faff! If she had just left details it would have all been much easier.  The Police said the car is taxed and insured so swapping details would have been easier all round!  Anyhow, it will all get sorted one way or the other.  It is a shame it was our bigger car that was hit as that one fits the wheelchair in for Dad and is also an automatic so easier to drive whilst my arm is still playing up.  Ah well, hopefully the garage won’t need too long to fix it once it goes in.  It is drivable in the meantime as it is just the back passenger side that she scraped and bashed about.  Goodness knows how she managed it as it wasn’t even in a tight bit of the car park and  the place was fairly empty!
