Straight from the tin
Wel almost - only a crop and sharpen. No tweaks on colour or exposure.
This is a lilac tree overhanging our garden. I'd waited until late afternoon when the sun was on this side to get the full colour and blue sky behind it.
Another busy day cutting grass and finishing off the patio cleaning I started last week.
I had to keep busy after getting annoyed, no, angry, no, shouting at one Mr Gove yesterday. He has absolutely no idea of the damage that he is doing by focussing solely on problems in education and not recognising and rewarding the massive amount of good and great progress that teachers, staff and governors do. Yes, there are problems. This is the real world. Problems always exist.
The new framework is perverse - entirely negative. It rewards only perfection and causes problems, even small one-off failures and problems to totally overshadow any and all the good things.
Our children, our future, deserves more than this. Our teachers deserve more than this. Yes, we have a right to expect great teaching and great teachers. But, current tactics will, over time, fail to deliver improvements. It will deliver only confusion and report increasing failure where no such failure really exists.
Payback Mr Gove, will be when the public assesses the performance of those currently in government. Mr. Gove - you haven't made Outstanding, Good, or even Requires Improvement - you are heading for Special Measures! There will be change.
I hope then that there is a viable alternative for government - Now, that's another issue...
Lots more that could be said, but, Rant over....!
