Gorsgious

This lady linnet was not going to be upstaged by the astonishing gorse which is blooming as never before on the Suffolk heathland. Finally, some sunshine today. We had a day off - which basically means getting up late, eating a good breakfast then mooching around the local common at a leisurely pace. Pete went down to North Warren and saw a stoat, hobbies and a merlin; I wandered round Aldringham Walks and saw a kestrel, whitethroat, lots of linnet, a grass snake, then this evening fox and muntjac. Forecast looks less promising for tomorrow, but we'll get out and about and hope it stays dry.
