Jupiter and Venus

Last night. I have never seen them so close together or bright. Apparently this is very rare. But the fact that I was able to get this shot with my trusty Samsung pretty much proves that they were both close together and very bright. In fact, standing outside in the chill they looked much brighter than  this. Update - I am told that this brightness/ alignment/ whatever wont happen again until 2039
