Mother and Daughter

As the title suggests this is mother Ruth and daughter Pia, and the party is because they are both celebrating completing their degree studies. It was mostly coincidence they were studying at the same time, and they were at different universities but it’s fun to have a joint party! Pia has studied more-or-less after finishing school but Ruth has paused her working life to study for three years, hoping to move into Human Resources work. She also has MSc in biology from her younger days!
There was a good mix of ages at the party and we were mostly in the tent in the garden where this picture is taken.  The weather turned a lot colder and windier than it has been for a while so the tent was very necessary, and even so a lot of us were a bit cold at times!
Ruth and her three children all enjoy cooking so the food was delicious and just kept coming. I hope they aren’t eating left-overs for the next two weeks.
After the party we walked back to sleep at Rose’s, which is just round the corner.
Somehow I missed posting this picture at the time, and now it's 8 months later. What different times it was then as we all worried slightly about getting Covid, and one of my friends actually did pick it up, probably here. Anyway, better late than never for my daily picture collection!
