Inspired by my kokeshi dolls.

They were a gift from my Japanese penfriend whose name I have long since forgotten but I have treasured these dolls for many years. They symbolise hope for a bountiful harvest, and wishes for good fortune.
As today is Doll’s Day in Japan, it seemed just the right occasion to make them my blipfoto.
