Bicycle Race

Coming off the ferry at IJmuiden driving down to Bergen op Zoom to pick up son no 1 it was surprising to see how much greener it was in Holland and how much the wildflowers and grasses on the banks of the roads had grown. It was lovely weather today and of course it is a long weekend in many countries of Europe for Whitsun/Pentecost, so people were walking and cycling everywhere. I spotted these people doing a bicycle tour/bicycle race in opposite directions when we were driving by on the A4 between Amsterdam and Leiden and thought about the Queen song Bicycle Race
