Chrysanthemum

I had a slow start today as I recovered my energy after yesterday’s trip to Newcastle. Julie was looking after Mum.

The main excitement of the day for us both was a visit to the optician’s in Hexham for Mum. Her eyes appear to have changed significantly so new specs are on order.

Kate came for a chat and a cuppa.

The chrysanthemum is in a lovely bouquet we have this week. I photographed it straight, then imposed an image of smaller flowers on it and blended the two. The result was really too harsh for my liking.

I duplicated the original, swung it through 45 degrees and blended again. Hope you like the intricacies of the petals.
