Another busy day at work. I got out in the afternoon to visit an old friend to borrow her garden shears (as you do). The bus ride back took me through bits of Edinburgh I haven’t seen in years, and then zoomed along Princes Street through the rain.

I think the rain in particular helps one to understand why the Scott Monument is known locally as the Gothic Rocket.
