Redwing

Popped out this morning for a bird watching wander.  I wanted to photograph the Redwings that have ben hanging out in Harrison Park for a few weeks number.  There are about 40 in the flock.  The photo isnt great but shows their distinctive markings.   We were delighted to see 6 new bespoke nesting boxes in the park too.
Then for the next part of the tour we went up to Craiglockhart pond to see what the swans were up to.  They have gone down from 8 to 1 swan now, there have been many twists and turns for the swan family here, I am not sure what will happen next.  We certainly missed a big flock of swans around us.
