Diversity
Oh to have shares in the manufacture of traffic cones. Their prevalence in the UK is apparent as is their omnipresence close to home in Edinburgh’s traffic scene. They can also be diverse in usage, from capping the head of the Duke of Wellington in Glasgow to adorning the railings bordering the Meadows. The creativity of the young knows no bounds, especially after a boozy Friday night out with friends.
I walked in a circle round the city centre this morning garnering supplies to keep me fed for the next few days and found it extremely chilly, although it felt slightly better when the sun was out. It is somewhat alarming to see that it is going to get even colder next week with snow forecast at some point. It’s not that it’s particularly unseasonal for March, it’s the fact of trying to keep the energy consumption down that has made this winter so cold and so long.
