A Helping Hand

As well as having too many books I also have quite a lot of DVDs. Last week the kind carpenter cut two of my wide bookshelves into 4 narrow ones. I used to do all my own DIY and decs - but now I have arthritis in my thumbs I’m not good at screwdriver tasks. I saw an ad for a neighbourhood handyman called Helping Hand.  You can imagine how much he is in demand - I had to wait 4 weeks. He was very nice indeed, and was able to put up these new shelves and three other really helpful things that get me further along in getting my house together again. I enjoyed putting my DVDs, which had been in teetering piles, onto the shelves in alphabetical order:) And I have a bit of space for a few more.
However I didn’t enjoy my consultation at the dental specialist.  He did a CT scan of my jaw and found the original root-canal work, done about 3 years ago, wasn’t done well enough.  Hence the terrible toothache. So he’s going to redo it - it’ll take about 2 hours :-(
