Under Wraps

There is a whole subculture of older Northern European folk who have permanent pitches on the campsites here in Spain, and travel down to spend weeks or months at a time, especially in the winter months to take advantage of cheaper rates (not to mention saving loads of money on fuel bills at home).
When we arrived here we were struck by the number of electric mobility scooters parked-up round the campsite and on the roads. We only gradually realised that many of them are used by able-bodied folk as a cheap form of transport for whizzing around town and to the supermarket etc.
