Cranachan

Scotland's answer to Eton Mess, the word cranachan is Scottish Gaelic in origin, meaning “churn”. The dish can also be known as cream crowdie, depending on what part of Scotland you are from.
Mrs S calls it cranachan, her roots are in Angus.
Miss S has a very good palate and made some comments about it. Let’s say it looks better than it tasted: not enough raspberry, not enough honey, not enough whisky. The whisky is Jura single malt. Ah, lovely.
