Oakwell Hall.

A cold dull day.

Managed to buy some eggs this morning. The hut was stocked up but not quite as many trays as usual. Would have liked to ask our ‘ egg man’ what he thought about the situation.
Then to Halifax for our click and collect order from Sainsbury’s. Everything on my list except their own brand Fruit and Nut chocolate. We like to have a couple of pieces with our morning coffee.

After lunch decided I needed to get out for a short walk to exercise my foot. Managed to drive the short distance to Oakwell Hall ( about 1mile) for a walk round the gardens. I was well wrapped up, and so sat down for a while watching the birds on the feeders. So lovely to see the long tailed tits. Unfortunately always quite a few dog walkers on a weekend and so they kept flying off every time one approached.
In the formal gardens they have a bed of hellebores. Several different colours, and thought they looked lovely with the Hall in the background. Just a pity there was no sun.

MrC is watching the rugby, but made me a nice cuppa when I got home. Certainly needed it.

Not looking forward to even colder weather next week. -6 forecast! Glad we stocked up on wood.
