Today's beauty is a 1961 MG 1600.  It's one of sixteen built with left hand steering.

Powered by a 68 horsepower 1,489cc overhead valve engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission, it featured independent front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering and a solid rear axle with leaf springs. Braking was by hydraulic drums at all corners.

It boasted a top speed of 96.1mph (154.7km/h); 0-60 in 13.3 sec.; and it made 24.7mpg (US)...29.7mpg (Imperial).

Original price $3,345 (US.....Euro 3,141); present value $51,500 (US.....Euro 48,356).     I'd look good driving this around town.
