In the Thicket

One of the Exmoor ponies, used in Sutton Park for land management on its northern sections.  I'd not noticed before but they seem to have some marks on the flank, perhaps a ship's anchor and other numbers and letters?  An Anchor is the Assay Office Mark for Birmingham.  Or am I reading too much into it?

We picked L's Mom up on the way back so she could join us for Sunday dinner.
